The Republican Party left me. The Democratic Party never showed up. And the people of Southern Indiana? We’ve been left behind—used as props in campaign ads, talked down to by consultants, and sold out by politicians who treat our values like bargaining chips.
I’m not here to play nice. I’m here to break the machine.
I carry the best of what both parties used to stand for—fiscal discipline, strong borders, fair wages, local control, and respect for work and family. But I won’t carry their baggage. I won’t carry their lies. I won’t carry their donors’ water. I won’t pretend that party loyalty is patriotism while Hoosier farmers get undercut by foreign beef and federal workers go unpaid during shutdown stunts.
I’m not asking for permission from party bosses. I’m not waiting for a green light from DC. I’m not here to be liked in Washington—I’m here to fight for the people who built this district and got nothing but broken promises in return.
This campaign is a rebellion. Against the shutdowns. Against the spin. Against the sellouts who smile for cameras while veterans lose benefits, air traffic controllers work without pay, and working families get squeezed from both ends.
I’m not in this for a party. I’m in this for the welder in Salem who hasn’t seen a raise in ten years. For the farmer in Paoli who watched foreign imports flood the market while his own rep stayed silent. For the nurse in Bedford who’s tired of being called essential but treated like expendable.
I’m Floyd Michael Taylor. I don’t need a party to fight for you. I just need you to fight with me.
Because if we don’t stand up now—if we don’t rip the mask off this system and demand better—then we’re just waiting for the next betrayal. And I’m done waiting.
